Bonsai Inc.

A bonsai plant supplier and specialist firm that also offers Bonsai Appreciation Classes to help individuals learn the basics and appreciate the art of bonsai.

What is Bonsai Cultivation?

Bonsai cultivation is the delicate practice of nurturing miniature trees within containers. The term "bonsai" originates from Japanese, blending "bon," meaning "tray" or "pot," with "sai," indicating "planting" or "cultivation." In Chinese, it's termed "盆栽" (pronounced "pen zai"), translating to "pot cultivation."

The art of bonsai involves meticulous pruning, wiring, and shaping of the tree to create a scaled-down, aesthetically pleasing representation of a full-sized tree in nature.

With a history spanning centuries, bonsai has transitioned from being predominantly favored by the older generation to a hobby embraced by individuals of all ages. Many, particularly the younger generation, discover a profound sense of relaxation and enjoyment in the art of bonsai.
